We’ve all seen the standard downstage confidence-monitor setup: TV on a stand, speaker timer balanced somewhere nearby, cables everywhere, and just enough duvetyne to make everyone pretend it looks clean.

CueTime Elite takes that whole collection of parts and turns it into one purpose-built package.

Available in 43- and 55-inch versions, Elite combines a confidence monitor enclosure with a built-in high-brightness speaker timer, front-facing connectivity, cable management, and support for tools like Stream Deck, Companion, Q-SYS, and Crestron.

But the hardware is only half the story.

The CueTime app gives the operator control of the timer, speaker sessions, rundowns, and on-stage messages from a tablet, phone, or computer. You can build out speaker sessions ahead of time, adjust timers live, import rundowns from CSV, share view-only timing links with other crew members, and send messages directly to the confidence monitor.

So instead of waving your arms from FOH trying to communicate “wrap it up” to a presenter who refuses to make eye contact, you can simply put WRAP IT UP on the screen in front of them.

Progress.

There’s also a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, meaning the system doesn’t have to rely on venue internet — an especially comforting feature for anyone who has ever been handed a ballroom Wi-Fi password five minutes before doors.

The quick take

CueTime Elite feels like a smart cleanup of something the live-events industry has been cobbling together for years.

It’s a confidence monitor, speaker timer, cueing system, and show-control interface wrapped into one considerably cleaner package.

And if the scenic department is tired of looking at your downstage monitor setup, they may finally have one less thing to complain about.
